Though the third trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the shortest yet it actually offers a few more scenes from the movie so that's good and the cutting si so quick it keeps the action quick and your attention piqued. Really looking forward to this film.
The new Blade Runner 2049 trailer is the best of the set so far. We are given more insight into the storyline and world of the Blade Runner, which truly looks like an updated take on the original. This draws me to the movie more as it looks like they the entire crew are paying attention to the detail. I loved Gotham in the Tim Burton Batman movies, though when a new director took over Gotham became just another city. Though it doesn't detract from the acting it can pull the audience's attention out of the movie and the universe it's created. We are also given a sense of what to expect with the action, special effects and story, all of which look to be superb and I find myself, once again drawn to a Ridley Scott sequel.
With Suburbicon it looks like the Coen Brothers are doing their take on the Noir genre. Style screams in nearly every clip of the trailer. I love the Coen Brothers and this may just be their best yet. I really love the way that they manipulate "real" comedy to add subtle humour to what could easily be a bleak film. A lot of these moments, or similar, have happened to us at one time or another and because of that, we can relate to the character and the story. That's three for three out of films I'm looking forward to watching.
There's a lot of pondering wondering, snow, fighting, and gunplay in the trailer for Wind River. The one thing that isn't in the trailer though is a clue as to what the movie is about - at least it stars Jeremy Remmer and Elizabeth Olsen. I do like mystery thrillers so this will probably get watched at some point down the line.
Who is top of the dick chain? The Son Of Satan no less. This Halloween the comedy movie to watch could just be Little Evil. What would you do if, after falling in love and marrying your beloved, you find out that her son from another relationship could very well be The Son Of Satan? Though the trailer doesn't give much away it has caught my attention and my interest as it looks like it could be pretty good... we'll just have to wait and see...
It may be my increasing age but I find I am inextricably drawn to Last Flag Flying which tells the story of three ageing army buddies on a mission to get to one of their friends' son's funeral. Through the road-trip, as always, we get a more in-depth look at the men and their lives. This looks like a brilliant drama full of melancholy humour and touching heartfelt and heartwarming moments. Last Flag Flying has instantly landed on my to watch list as it appears well written and filmed and superbly acted by a great cast with Laurence Fishburne, Steve Carell, and Bryan Cranston.
I really like the idea of the Ninja Instructions on how to be a Ninja now it's back to school time. This little skit does a good job of giving a different take on the Trailer genre while still giving the viewer clips from the movie so they can see what to expect. This actually has me verging on the side of watching the film, though I hated The Lego Movie... though with the Jackie Chan skit last time I'm also wondering if the film is good enough to have a proper trailer, or have they already clipped all the good stuff together?
Though the trailer for American Assassin doesn't bestow the viewer with any kind of plot and story giveaways, this will still be on my "To Watch" list as Michael Keeton stars. Keeton is another of my favourite actors who I still trust to interesting roles in interesting movies. What the trailer does give the audience is a basic outline of the action they can expect. However, this doesn't appear to be up to the standards of similar films, such as the Bourne saga. I just hope my trust in Keeton is not unfounded...
Then there's the third trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Though shorter than the previous two - and containing pretty much the same footage - there's a nice sequence of an unknown person having their identity points, fingerprints and teeth, altered... so who is this person and how lethal are they to the Kingsman and the World?
This still has my attention and I'm looking forward to watching the movie.
"He's comin'... He's comin' to collect..." Frank Castle makes his Netflix appearance in this teaser trailer. Looking at the trailer and the poster they have released it looks like Netflix may have got the character of The Punisher generally spot on, though the real proof will be in the episodes. Most of my favourite comic book heroes are the normal people who take on their demons as well as the villains. As such The Punisher is in my top three... in fact, he's joint second with Moon Knight - while Batman roosts at the number one spot. So I am really hoping that Netflix does the character proud.
Oh dear, Molly's Game really does look like a boring couple of hours. It may be just me, but when the trailer just shows Molly's character in a dark light - she ran an illegal poker game, had dealings with the Russian Mafia, and is being brought up before the Federal Court - it's hard to find anything worthwhile in this story. Why should I care for this Molly? Then there's the acting which verges on boring to bad. There are times in the trailer that the actors appear uninterested in their character and the lines they are giving. Idris Elba looks to be in major frown mode for his role as the lawyer, though he shines out as one of the better actors in this movie. The other being Kevin Costner. This trailer really doesn't entice me to watch the film - it actually has the opposite effect on me... this is one film to miss.
Rememory has an interesting concept on the murder mystery. Gordon Dunn has invented a machine that can record peoples memories... will it be able to help piece together his mysterious death? Even though the film stars Peter Dinklage as the would-be investigator the trailer has me a little worried that the story could be bogged down with the tech. The trouble with stories like these is that they need to moderately realistic. Others, like Transference, didn't take the concept far enough and the bits it did use were so unrealistic the movie suffered. I am hoping that this film does better as I really do like the idea behind the story. The acting looks strong, so fingers crossed.
The "Dr Strange" Thor Ragnarok trailer is pretty awesome. Though you've seen most of the clips before in the first trailer the way they have been clipped together in this Japanese trailer, along with the soundtrack gives it a new feel. There are times when I thought Godzilla or The Power Rangers would explode onto the screen. I wanted to see the film before I watched this trailer. The urge is still there, though I now have a huge smile on my face.
What with the new Punisher trailer and now the new Defenders trailer I think I may have to cough out some cash to subscribe to Netflix. Sigourney Weaver's appearance in the cast has added a new strength to the series. Though The Defenders looked interesting it's Weaver's presence that could quite easily pull me in, like a mouse to a piece of cheese on a mousetrap.
So The Killing Of A Sacred Deer looks to be one beautifully filmed movie. The trailer is full of classy and very professional camera work. Even the poster screams style - I hope it won't overpower the story. There's also enough about the story to pique the viewers' interest, though it took a few views to get mine. It's the haunting song that gets under your skin and nestles there like an irritating rash. Evidently, one of the main characters Father has died and it looks to be the doctor's fault... what kind of retribution will they be looking for. This is one to watch if you like psychological thrillers, though I think I'll wait for the BluRay.
I like Willam Dafoe and I do like films and stories about coming of age through the trailer for The Florida Project isn't really offering anything new to the genre. This looks like it would be worth a watch on a cold winter's Sunday afternoon, while in the arms of your better half - but I won't be rushing to watch.
The film to miss this Halloween... Tyler Perry's Boo! 2 A Madea Halloween. Both Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence did the whole dressing up as a woman so much better than this. Whereas Murphy and Lawrence also had the use of makeup to create "the image" while Tyler Perry just slips on a nasty looking dress and a nastier looking wig - it's soo bad that you know it's a man in a wig. As a horror fan, I will be missing this film, and truth be told, if Jason, Michael, Chucky, Leatherface, Pinhead, Freddy, and every other movie monster was coming down the street, knives, machetes, and razors shining in the moonlight, with chainsaws roaring and Madea coming the other way I would seriously consider running into the Monster Mash...
Okay, I'll admit it... I like Adam Sandler movies. Though they often times contain the same humour and look to come off a conveyor line they still make me laugh, and for that I am glad - and sometimes their soundtrack is pretty awesome. With The Meyerowitz Stories, it looks like Sandler has gone back to acting, leaving the outlandishness behind for awhile. Though this didn't really pay off for him in Spanglish he did a brilliant job with Seth Rogan in Funny People so I am hopeful this will be an enjoyable film. Especially because the cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Judd Hirsch, Sigourney Weaver, and Ben Stiller. Looks to be a Lazy Sunday Afternoon Flick.
There's enough talent in Literally, Right Before Aaron to make this a must watch romantic comedy... however, something about the trailer is driving me away from the film. Though, I like and respect most of the cast the trailer makes the film appear a little too Foo-Foo and MEH! to get me excited enough to watch. The story offers plenty of opportunities for great comedy, though none of it appears in the trailer - everything seems superfluous and candy-coated. If I did watch this it probably would be when it came onto telly and only then if nothing else of interest was on... I wouldn't even record it for later viewing based on this trailer.
Brains, Skills... ...Skipping Rope! What more can you ask for in a kick-ass movie. Well in the new trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle you have more top notch acting talent with the original cast members being joined by Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and an evil Julianne Moore - the only drawback I can see in the cast is Elton John... Elton John!!! I cannot wait for this film as I loved the first though I have my doubts about it being as good as or better than it. The trailers have me thinking it may be less than the original.
Last week I wished for the longer trailer of Mother! This week I got it and I am smiling like the Cheshire cat. This is one confounding, mysterious, and dark trailer which gives the viewer nothing in the context to the storyline. This looks like a beautifully shot dark fantasy come horror film from writer and director Darran Aronofsky. It's nice to see Michelle Pfieffer and Ed Harris back on our screens, though Ed is looking a little ill. As a lover of all things dark, I look forward to watching this movie.
"I took Germany, I think I can take a flesh lump in a waistcoat!" I really believe that I should like The Death Of Stalin... however, this trailer isn't that good. Yes, there are a couple of funny moments and it's full of some of my favourite actors but there are flatter and less humorous moments shown, where the comedy doesn't work. Though, when the scenes are shown in their entirety the comedy may become more evident, Another thing that I found pretty annoying is the number of differing accents on offer from around the globe - everywhere except Russia that is. This may be the director's decision thinking that it added t the comedic value. If this was the case then Armando Iannucci was mistaken. Not a film to watch on the silver screen, I'll wait for the BluRay.
I have to admit I am a Jackie Chan addict and fan. There isn't a movie of his that I haven't loved. Though I am more of a fan of his funnier side. The promo he's done for the Lego Ninjago Movie has pretty much won me over. I hated the Lego Movie and will wait for the BluRay of Batman Lego but now I am of two minds over Ninjago. If it's good enough for Jackie then it's good enough for me... It's also nice to see how much effort and skill has gone into the movie.
Back in the days when CGI animated movies were breaking the mould with their originality and crisp and sharp images the story lines were original and fresh. Now with the arrival of Duck Duck Goose comes a film which looks to cure insomnia. There is not one original shot in the entire trailer and nor is there one funny scene or line. Being of the computer generation and witnessing the birth of Luxo Jr in 1986 and other groundbreaking shorts I look forward to the next CGI animation. Though things have started to get bleak of late... pretty much starting with the very unfunny Rango. Unfortunately, this trailer puts this film in that clique. I feel I could quite easily miss this film. Though I can see plenty of kids loving it... just not the big kids...
I wonder if there's actually a need for a movie like Wonder(?) Don't get me wrong, there is a need to educate our children away from bullying. However, to show the cause of the bullying as a child with a facial deformity is somewhat old-school and was done brilliantly by Cher and Ron Perlman in Mask (well worth a watch) as it's darker and more realistic. This appears to pull the punches and is more heartwarming than inciteful. Also in this age, most bullies have gone cyber and launch attacks the psyche of their victims. You also don't need to be that much different for the bully to tear you apart, the slightest thing can start them attacking you. I think that if you're going to address an issue then you address that issue totally - all the good and all the bad. You want your children to learn then teach them. Some things shouldn't be sugar coated. Not the film for me.
In Netflix's promo for Our Souls In The Night, I just have to ask, "What the f*#k is up with Robert Redford's character?" Come on, man! It's Jane Fonda, Even I have to say the lady is wearing well and I would be all over her like white on rice. Dude you're old, there's not much time left... and you have a flatbed truck... It's time to wear your 50 shades suit grandad...
What the hell has Eli Roth done to Death Wish? I must admit I was only thinking a couple of months ago that the Michael Winner and Charles Bronson revenge flick could do with an update. Though I have to admit I was thinking in the vein of "I Spit On Your Grave" remakes and not Die Hard goes walkabout. Another worry is the quality of the acting. The only scene in the trailer where Elizabeth Shue speaks is pretty dire as are the scenes with the daughter. Even good old Bruce is in good old Bruce mode. He even seems to be enjoying killing the bad guys. The best thing about the original is the fact that Paul (Bronson) is never happy to kill the bad guys because he knows, "There are too many assholes and not too few bullets." Plus he a is constantly in despair over the rapes and murder of his wife and daughter. That's the reason why the "I Spit On Your Grave" remakes work - they're earthier and more realistic. It would have been a direction for Roth to take and it might have been good to stretch Mr Willis' acting skills for a change. That said I will give it a watch, though it'll probably be when it airs on the telly.
Well, at least the editor of the trailer for The Hitman's Bodyguard tried something new... except the backing track on the promo just doesn't work and because of this I really don't want to watch this film. Ain't I fickle? It's nice to see Salma Hayek back in action though the action in the trailer doesn't give away much of the plot of the film. I hope they cut another because based on this I won't be rushing to watch the film.
Though the trailer for Mother! is short is packs enough of a wallop to gain my interest. Can't wait to see the longer trailer and see how good this film may be...
Voltage Pictures are not known for great films and Keep Watching is definitely not great. However, the trailer does appear to be for a possible dark thriller slasher flick. These types of movies have been done to death and it appears to be getting more and more difficult to keep the genre fresh. This flick has elements that have been used in other movies and I must admit to a groan when I saw the Red Balloons... can you guess that IT is coming and people are wanting to cash in on some of the iconic components, I could very well give this a view on a Fright Night Friday in the future.
I must be growing into a sad old man because Goodbye Christopher Robin is the best trailer in this compendium. It looks beautiful and expertly shot. It had me melancholic for past memories. This is one film I would gladly pay to see on the big screen as not only is it luxuriously filmed but the story seems both thought-provoking and heartwarming. The acting appears to be of the best calibre also. Even the little kid playing the title role of Christopher Robin holds his own against the adult actors. Except for Margot Robbie, the rest of the cast are not so well known, this is a bonus for me because it's always nice to see new actors as they tend to breathe new life into the industry.
The Call Me By Your Name trailer does nothing for me. There are blurbs throughout that extoll the merits of the movie though the trailer shows none of them. For example "Ravishing Filmmaking and Piercing Wisdom" neither of which are evident here. The film appears to be a slow romance between two men finding their love for one another. I'm not a great fan of romance unless it's tinged with comedy and/or great drama, once again the trailer gives the appearance that these are also lacking from the film. I think I'll give this a miss.
I have to say this for the Coen Brothers you definitely know when it's one of their movies, even when it's directed by someone else - in this instance George Clooney. As always, the trailer shows that Surbubicon has all the traits we've come to expect - A strange story told in their inevitable style with diverse characters played by a strong cast. I became a Coen fan with Raising Arizona and have suffered through Serious Man, so I will most certainly give this a viewing as they've had more hits than misses... and a do like a cracked, twisted, and slightly strange take on life.
The NetFlix Film Message From The King looks like a run of the mill revenge flick if a tad dark and over-brooding. I do love a good revenge movie though this one isn't ticking any of the right boxes for me. Even though the cast includes Luke Evans, Chadwick Boseman, and Alfred Molina there doesn't appear ti be anything new to hook me into view this film. The poster appears to be the best thing about this flick.
The trailer to Flatliners sends a cold shiver down my spine... and not for the right reasons. Even though I wasn't a great fan of the original movie this remake adds to my thoughts that if it ain't broke don't break it. Gone is the great cast of the original to be replaced by some okay, though not excellent talent. Though I am only going off this trailer so it could all be down to the director, who doesn't seem to have brought anything new to this horror flick. If anything this new version appears watered down. I really don't see the point in a remake if you cannot make it as good as or even better than the original; there was scope in the original for it to have been far better and much scarier than the released version. So this looks deathly pale in my eyes... and the "It's a good day to die," line has lost all its power that Keiffer gave to it. I won't be queueing to watch this one.
As for the IT trailer - IT smashed IT. The trailer is so spot on right from the narration beginning to the acting section of it. This has given my goosebumps goosebumps. I loved the original TV Mini Series and this trailer has me quivering in anticipation to watch the full movie. I hope that the writers and directors do not wait to see how this plays in the cinema before starting the second part. This trailer has the feel of what a King movie should be. It would be a shame not to give the fans and King probably the best movie adaptation of one of his books to date. This should be on every Stephen King and Horror Movie fans Must Watch list. Cannot wait. I wanna float too!!!
The Vault has got my interest piqued. Though the trailer is brilliant at not giving anything away except that during a bank robbery the manager points the robbers to the old vault in the cellar as that's where the money is kept... except there's something a lot darker and nastier than greenbacks in The Vault. By giving the viewer the basics and hiding the realities it gets the imagination working to fill in the blanks. I just hope to reality in the film is better than my imagination or this film will flop with me. Though based on this trailer I wanna see this movie - though I may wait for the BluRay.
Detroit looks like it could be one hard hitting and political movie if the blurbs in the trailer are correct. The biggest selling point of this movie for me is the Director Kathryn Bigelow, whose work I have admired over the years. I respect that she has never shied away from any subject, no matter how controversial. That appears to be the case here too, as one of the blurbs state that this is the truth behind the Detroit Rebellion Killings. This is one movie I want to watch.
Oh, My God!!! That's Woody Harrelson as Lyndon B Johnson. Ever since Harrelson walked into Sam's Boston Bar in Cheers as Woody, I knew he was an actor to watch as he had the character down pat and really added a dimension to the show. It's nice to see him stretching his acting wings once again in a character driven role... and what a role. Judging by this trailer it looks like Rob Reiner may have another hit and there should be Oscar nominations abound from this film. Love the toilet scene and as he says, "How could anybody not like him(?)" I am really looking forward to this movie.
Amazon Studios have Ben Stiller being Ben Stiller (which he does so well - I really don't think anybody else could portray Ben Stiller better... except, maybe Benedict Cumberbatch...) portraying Mr Everyman in a life affirming movie... This seems to be pretty standard fare for Mr Stiller recently. In the trailer for Brad's Status, I can see overtones of Walter Mitty, both in Stillers portrayal and movie atmosphere. This isn't a bad thing as I was more than pleasantly surprised by his remake. Note to the Flatliners team - this is how you do a remake... make it better and have its footing in modern day issues. So if this is half as good as Mitty I'll be a happy bunny. Though I may wait for BluRay or television to watch it; I won't sign up to Amazon to watch.
So first on the trailer reel is the new James Franco vehicle "The Disaster Artist", which he not only stars in but is also directing. This trailer is not that interesting, which is pretty worrying as trailers are there to draw the audience into the cinema to watch the movie. As for the film, I cannot believe that because somebody made a bad movie, once upon a time, it would ever need a film (or a book) on how it was brought into life. There are so many good movies out there and fewer great ones, unfortunately, these don't get the same recognition. I, for one, will not be wasting my time on this movie.
I must admit that Denis Villeneuve "Blade Runner 2049" trailer is hitting all the right notes. The special effects look superb, though the cityscapes don't appear as tight and crowded as they should and there appear to be more action sequences than the original. I just hope the story doesn't get lost. Another strong point is the acting talent on offer, Ryan Gosling is a favourite actor of mine as is Dave Bautista, who gets better in every movie, and Lennie James, who always gives a powerful performance, even Harrison Ford looks strong in his reprised role. This is a film to definitely watch at the cinema.
Oh, My GOD! Steven Spielberg looks to be having fun with his adaptation of Ernest Cline's novel "Ready Player One". The only thing I can say is the special effects are AWESOME! And this trailer Kicks Arse. However, I am concerned as there appears to be no story, hopefully, this will be addressed in later trailers, though with Spielberg directing (a master cinematic storyteller in his own right) and the author writing the screenplay this should assuredly be one to watch.
Marvel Studios looks to kick DC's backside once again with "Thor: Ragnarok". This, the third in the Thor series looks to be the best yet. From this trailer, I am loving the relationship between Thor and Hulk come, Bruce Banner. Also, the bad bitch, Hela, looks to be magnificently played by Cate Blanchett. However, one thing did jump out at me was the Hulk... he doesn't appear to be at his Hulkiest - has he been on a diet? "The Shape Of Water" has all of Guillermo Del Toro style and panache. Even this trailer sings out beauty. What it doesn't really do is give you much of an idea of how this film will play out. Is it going to be a love story or a friendship film or an escape flick or a mix of all? I am a great fan of Del Toro and his films, they are just a joy to watch and beauteous to behold. However, I find myself unenthused with this trailer. It's not grabbing me in any way and has a feel of Meh! about it. This is a bad thing as he appears to revive The Creature From The Black Lagoon as the love, come friend interest. I think I'll wait until this one come to BluRay. The Snowman" is the trailer that has me sitting on the fence. It looks to be a slow-burning thriller and has a pretty decent cast. Though, Fassbender appears to be flatlining in this trailer - there's not too much emotion coming through in his voice and that worries me. In films like this, you need to relate to the characters and Fassbender's leaves me as cold as the snow. Though the story and the rest of the cast may just bring this movie together, after all Toby Jones and J K Simmons are in the cast... I'll just have to wait and see the reviews and hope,
I have to admit that if there really was a "Jaeger Uprising" and I saw this Teaser Trailer, which is in the form of an advertisement, then I would be in the queue to join. This doesn't give too much away for the upcoming "Pacific Rim Uprising" film - watch for future trailers.
Oh dear, after watching Wonder Woman I was hoping that DC would be taking this road when writing and filming "The Justice League". Now I'm hanging my head in sorrow as it looks like they decided on a similar route as the tragedy that was Batman V Superman. Firstly, with the arsehole of a Superman that inhabits this part of DC's Multiverse, it's hard to see why the world would morn Superman - the paper scene is just a way to get into the DC Fans minds. Let us not forget that he's not been superheroing too long at this point and he's already killed more innocent civilians than bad guys... not a great role model. Then the line about the time of heroes being over... please this is the first time we are being introduced to Cyborg, Flash, and Aquaman. Also, note that the greatest detective in the world didn't know of Wonder Woman's existence until the last movie, so after her escapades in the first world war she must have stopped fighting crime until doomsday reared his head. It would be hard not to notice an Amazonian Warrioress, especially when she likes posing for photo's - bet she's got one hell of an Instagram page. Also, this Barry Allen is a dweeb - the guy isn't even a nerd and definitely doesn't appear as intelligent as he should be. He is also a lame hero at this point... he just pushes people and runs away... There is some seriously bad writing showing through here and just in a trailer what will the rest of the movie be like? Though it's not all bad, I did love the Parademon surfing Aquaman scene. It looks like I'll be waiting for the DVD sales or a free copy of this film.
Will Smith's new film for Netflix looks to be a leave-your-brain-at-the-door number. "Bright" looks quite boring until the action kicks off. However, there's some scope as to how good this film can be since it's about a magic wand - described by one of the silliest lines this year, "It's like a nuclear weapon that can grant wishes!" If it can grant wishes than the limitations are in the holder's mind. Let's hope the writers have good imaginations or we'll be left wanting, though by this trailer it doesn't look too imaginative. I'll not rush and subscribe to Netflix just yet.
Stan Lee advertising his own and Marvel's characters in the upcoming "The Defenders" is the best way to push the series as it lends authenticity to the show. If Stan Lee is willing to endorse it them it must have his blessing and must be as good as the comic books. If Stan believes then I believe too. Good enough for me, even though the trailer doesn't give away too much.
They have the skill, the brains... and the skipping rope. Kingsman kicked arse when it came out and it looks like "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" will kick ass too. This is one well cut trailer that gets the juices of excitement flowing. The best thing about this is there's no squeaky Samual L Jackson in it. What we appear to get is some more great brolly work, lasso wrangling, six-gun sharp-shooting, athletic kick-assery weaved together in a visionary beauty of camera work and special effects. This is the one I want to see.
Will I give "The Lego Ninjago Movie" a look? This is a serious question as I hated The Lego Movie. However, the trailer looks good and the voice of the Ninja Master is Jackie Chan so that is a plus point. The other advantage is the lego itself. On the whole, the effects in the first film were stunning, if they keep up that excellence in this one... and the story and direction are better then it may just be worth a watch. Probably wait until the BluRay though.
Though the Saw series had a lot of failures, especially in time lines in the latter of the series it was still enjoyable to watch, especially if you're a special-effects splatterpunk gorehead like me. This reboot, under the name "Jigsaw", looks to continue where the last finished... and it doesn't even appear to change any of the Saw preferences or premise. The cops are chasing a serial copycat killer who is torturing and executing "sinners" in a series of violent challenges. The copycat is still using John's voice on a tape recorder. So if you like the original series then you'll probably love this as it looks and feels just like the previous movies... One note, I do love this trailer as it adds a new darker side to Roy Orbison's "Running Scared".
"Only The Brave" is the drama film I want to watch. Josh Brolin has had his shares of hit and misses and this should be a definite hit if the trailer is anything to go by. How can a story based on true events and real-life heroes miss, especially if it's beautifully filmed with a strong story binding it together? Just watching this trailer sent goosebumps up my arms, when I get this feeling then I know I have to watch this film.
Is Blaxploitation back? I sure hope so because I loved Shaft and "Proud Mary"looks to be along those lines. It's nice to see Taraji P Henson in a leading role, particularly that of a strong fierce woman, of which there's not enough. I have no doubt Henson can hold a lead role as she's shown some serious acting skills in her previous roles. Though the trailer offers little in character or story insights it has me curious and with an actress who I like and trust in their skills to perform and entertain then I will give this a watch on its release, if not at the cinema then on BluRay.
